In September 2017, an agreement was signed at the Eastern Economic Forum on the construction of the first year-round greenhouse complex on permafrost. The trilateral agreement was signed by the head of Yakutsk, Almazergienbank and Hokkaido Corporation. Starting with a small experimental greenhouse, the complex has grown into one of the largest vegetable producers in the Far East. The first experimental greenhouse with an area of 1000 square meters was launched in 2016. And on the eve of 2017, the first harvest was harvested. In 2019, Sayuri opens the second stage of greenhouses.
With full production capacity, the complex plans to produce about 2 thousand tons of vegetable products. The company covers from 20 to 30% of the total demand for vegetable products in the region. Today, the automated greenhouse complex with an area of 3.3 hectares consists of 16 greenhouses. The assortment includes cucumbers of the Mewa variety, four varieties of tomatoes, various types of lettuce, greens. Radishes are grown in the spring. Pepper and eggplant are sold in small batches. Variety tests of strawberries and strawberries are being conducted with the further intention to modernize the greenhouse for the production of berries. From September 5 to 8, the VII Eastern Economic Forum will be held in the capital of Primorye.
