Covering over 40 hectares, with 33.5 hectares meeting VietGAP standards, Tiền Lệ supplies more than 3,000 tons of produce annually to the market. With 500-700 dedicated households, each meeting standards yields an average income of over 70 million VND per capita annually, with vegetable production contributing to approximately 50%.
The average vegetable production reaches over 700 million VND per hectare per year, and the concentrated 2.5-hectare greenhouse area generates annual revenues ranging from 900 million to 1 billion VND. Establishing partnerships with businesses, supermarkets, school cafeterias, hospitals, and industrial zones, Tiền Lệ ensures a stable market for 30-40% of their produce.
Nguyễn Văn Hào, the Director of Tiền Lệ Cooperative, proudly shares, “Our focus is on enhanced monitoring and record-keeping, ensuring source traceability and compliance with standards. This sustains the reputation of Tiền Lệ’s clean produce and lays the groundwork for transitioning to organic farming in the future.”
Reflecting on the early days of managing the 2.5-hectare greenhouse area, Nguyễn Khắc Đạo, a dedicated producer, recalls the challenges and moments of despair. However, his perseverance and the cooperative’s philosophy of “sow today, reap tomorrow” have proven fruitful, as he now enjoys the blessings of his harvest.
As a long-term buyer from Tiền Lệ, An Hà Liên, the Director of Liên Anh Production and Service Company, highlights the advantages of collaboration, emphasizing the reliability and uniform quality of Tiền Lệ’s produce. Liên Anh currently purchases 2 tons of vegetables daily, totaling an average of 50-60 tons monthly.
Dang Thi Thu Thuy, Head of the Plant Cultivation and Plant Protection Station in Hoài Đức, emphasizes the close coordination between her station and Tiền Lệ. Through training programs and knowledge transfer, the station assists farmers in adapting to new scientific and technological advancements, fostering a gradual shift towards sustainable practices.
Thuy adds, “We organize integrated pest management (IPM) classes, comprehensive pest and disease management, and are currently upgrading to integrated plant health management (IPHM). Our hands-on approach involves guiding farmers through field investigations and analysis of their ecological landscapes, providing tailored solutions for care and pest prevention.”
