Without soil and water, just in the air. Enthusiast Ruslan Umalatov has been practicing a unique method of growing strawberries for several years now.
Iron pipes instead of beds. Foam sponges instead of soil. No one has grown strawberries like this before. Ruslan says – to follow the easy, already trampled path – not his. The experimental horticulturist found out about the new method 8 years ago and began to study it.
Nutrient solutions are added to the water tank, from where the mixture goes through pipes. Now everything in the greenhouse is automated. Ruslan simply adjusts the feed interval depending on temperature and humidity.
Hanging strawberries stretched over 3,000 square meters. Ruslan did almost everything here with his own hands. From site cleaning to welding.
The pipes are installed here so that you do not have to bend down when collecting. It’s more comfortable and doesn’t hurt your back. Local residents help take care of the bushes and harvest.
Ruslan mainly grows Albion strawberries. These are premium berries without sourness.
In total, the gardener invested several tens of millions of rubles in the greenhouse. According to him, the business pays off, but all the profit goes into business. Ruslan claims money is not the main thing for him, the main thing is the idea and the process itself.
