Jeonnam Goheung Smart Farm Innovation Valley is a high-tech agricultural convergence complex that is rapidly emerging as an alternative to rural modernization and competitiveness by fusing technology such as information and communication technology(ICT) in agriculture, with support centers, youth care practice greenhouses, youth rental smart farms, demonstration complexes, air conditioning and heating facilities, and water purification facilities.
In the youth rental Smart Farm A-dong, 11 students who have completed the first phase of smart Farm youth start-up education have gained experience in smart farm management by consulting experts on temperature and humidity environment control, nutrient control, and pest control suitable for tomato growth.
In the early years, it suffered trial and error due to high temperature damage, lack of agricultural water, etc., but it was solved smoothly by the efforts of smart farm businesses and young farmers, and now it has analyzed crop growth and environmental data to build a stable cultivation environment.
Young farmers aim to harvest 800 tons of tomatoes, 12,000 shares of jujube drop tomatoes and 36,000 shares of finished tomatoes in a 6,000-square-glass greenhouse in September last year, and after the first harvest in November, more than 250 tons have been harvested and delivered to Seoul and Gyeonggi regions to date.
On the other hand, in June this year, the military completed the youth rental large smart farm B-dong and C-dong without a hitch, and in line with this, it plans to select 12 excellent students from the second term of smart farm youth start-up education and provide young start-up farmers with opportunities for smart farm farming by renting a glass greenhouse at a low price.
