According to a recent study conducted by the Analytical Center “Expert Yug,” there has been an increase in the number and value of agricultural investment projects in the North Caucasus Federal District (SKFO). Greenhouse vegetable and fruit cultivation remain top priorities, actively supported by government measures. The SKFO investment portfolio for 2023 totals 882.26 billion rubles, a 33% increase compared to 2020. The agriculture sector ranks second in terms of investment value, with 52 projects worth a total of 185.24 billion rubles. This represents an 83% increase in investment value and a 37% increase in project quantity compared to the 2020 study.

The study also reveals that the tourism and agro-industrial complex industries remain leaders in the SKFO investment portfolio. However, the agriculture sector has the highest number of projects, indicating a significant focus on this sector. With the increasing demand for fresh, high-quality produce, greenhouse vegetable and fruit cultivation is a lucrative business opportunity for farmers and investors alike. The SKFO government’s continued support for this industry demonstrates its commitment to boosting the agricultural sector’s growth and development.
