Production efficiency will be increased at an enterprise for growing greenhouse vegetables in the Tambov region thanks to the Labor Productivity national project, the regional administration’s economic policy department said.
“A project to increase labor productivity has been launched at the Michurinsky greenhouse complex. The greenhouse complex is one of the largest in the country and is located on the territory of the only agronomic science city in Russia – Michurinsk,” the department said.
At the pilot site of the plant, where tomatoes are harvested and packed, they plan to optimize the flow, increase labor productivity by reducing the time of the processes. To work on the national project, the enterprise formed a working group, trained it in the basics of lean production, production analysis, standardized work, analysis of equipment efficiency. Experts have already formed a primary list of problems that hinder the growth of labor productivity, launched a production analysis. In the near future, it is planned to prepare a detailed plan of measures to increase labor productivity, create a reference site at the plant, and optimize jobs.
The national project “Labor Productivity” is designed to create conditions for an annual increase in labor productivity in the country by 5%. A set of measures has been developed to help businesses, including financial incentives and expert advice on the operation of enterprises. National projects initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin started in 2019.
