The greenhouse complex “Lukhovitsky vegetables” was built in 2015 by the group of companies “ROST”.
The complex is located in the Moscow region in the city of Lukhovitsy, famous for the most favorable climate for growing tomatoes and cucumbers. Over 7 years of operation, the plant has increased its production area from 35 hectares to 42, and now a new 15-hectare queue is being completed.
The equipment in Lukhovitsky Vegetables allows you to grow tomatoes and cucumbers all year round, regardless of the weather and temperature outside. During the year, up to 40 thousand tons of vegetables are harvested in the complex per year, while providing products not only to the cities of the Central Federal District, but also to nearby areas. The packaging and distribution center in Lukhovitsy has no analogues in the world, it is equipped with an automated 4-tier storage area that allows you to store, sort and deliver vegetables to the highest standards. The location of the greenhouse complex has historically been considered the unofficial capital of cucumbers in Russia: it is in this area of the Moscow region that the frost-free period persists for a long time, and the water and soil are distinguished by a unique and pure composition.
One of the main advantages of “Lukhovitsky vegetables” is the use of Dutch technologies, with the help of which the air circulates artificially and a special microclimate is created inside the greenhouses. Fans do not allow warm air to come out, and special valves do not allow insects from the outside to get into seedling compartments with plants. Also, for the greatest protection, entomophages live on the territory in the face of predatory mites that feed on pests. This natural method of combating unwanted livestock ensures safe crop cultivation. For pollination of plants, bumblebees live next to entomophages, whose hives are placed in all greenhouses in the ratio of 12 hives per 1 hectare. The quality of the plant’s work has been repeatedly noted at various exhibitions and competitions: in the International PROD-EXPO competition “Lukhovitsky vegetables” received a gold medal for winning the nomination “Best Product 2018”, and the international professional tasting competition of food and beverages “WorldFood” awarded their vegetable products a silver medal.
