According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, in 2022, the production of vegetables in winter greenhouses in the country amounted to more than 1.5 million tons, and this is 7% more than the previous year. 850 thousand tons of cucumbers (+2.5%), 620 thousand tons of tomatoes (+7%) were harvested.
Among the regions whose contribution to these indicators turned out to be the most significant, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture named the Republic of Mordovia. Thanks to investments in indoor vegetable growing, the construction of modern greenhouses with systems for maintaining a special microclimate in them continues in the region and resource-saving technologies are being introduced in order to increase the yield and profitability of vegetable crops.
At the same time, optimal production and technical characteristics make it possible to grow high-quality and safe products in greenhouses.
