The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia calls greenhouse vegetable growing the most dynamically developing branch of agriculture in the country. In 2022, farmers harvested a record harvest, reaching 1.6 million tons. According to the National Fruit and Vegetable Union, this figure will increase by 3.7% this season to 1.7 million tons. Two southern Russian regions are among the leaders in the production of greenhouse crops. In the Krasnodar Territory in 2022, over 115 thousand tons of agricultural products of protected soil were received, in Stavropol – 105 thousand tons. This year, both regions of the countries plan to receive 10-15 thousand tons more products.
