Plenipotentiary Yuri Trutnev visited the Teplichny state farm, where the construction of a new greenhouse for growing vegetables is in full swing. Employees of the agricultural enterprise showed the Deputy Prime Minister the project of the future complex, and at the same time told when they plan to pick the first crop of cucumbers.
According to the director of the Teplichny state farm Viktor Budkov, the new greenhouse will help to seriously increase the yield of vegetables – first of all, they plan to grow cucumbers and tomatoes there.
“The fundamental difference is that these greenhouses will be taller. The height of the columns is 6 meters. Previously, the height was only 4 m, then 5, now 6. It would seem, what a trifle, but this is as much as 20% of the internal volume. This means that the microclimate is much better, the greenhouse cools much more slowly. Among other things, we will use more powerful lamps, it is much more expensive, but we will get a better, more serious spectrum for growing plants,” the director shared.
Yuri Trutnev praised the project of the future complex. The next time the plenipotentiary is ready to visit Teplichny in December 2022-January 2023. By this time, the greenhouse should already give the first harvest: according to the director of the state farm, they are counting on cucumbers.
Separately, the Deputy Prime Minister praised the environmental component of the future complex. The vegetable greenhouse will be heated by gas. And the released carbon dioxide will become additional nutrition for plants, which will increase the rate of ripening of vegetable crops by an average of 20%.
The complex with an area of almost 3 hectares will be commissioned by the end of 2022. The cost of the project is estimated at 1 billion rubles. With the completion of construction at Teplichnoye, 74 new jobs will appear.
