Developed from 2004 until now, there are many types of greenhouses in Da Lat city (Lam Dong province) from affordable to high-end, so it is necessary to move the entire greenhouse out of the inner city area. implementing many synchronous and long-term solutions.
All kinds of greenhouses in Da Lat
Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Lam Dong province has submitted a request to the provincial committee to approve the project on Greenhouse management, promoting agricultural production with high technology to adapt to climate change in Lam Dong province. .
According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Lam Dong province, in 2004, the Provincial People’s Committee approved the High-Tech Agriculture Development Program for the period 2004 – 2010. As a result, by the end of 2010, the total area of hi-tech agricultural cultivation in Lam Dong province was approved by the Provincial People’s Committee. Dong is more than 6,400 hectares, the production value per unit of cultivated area is 76 million VND/ha, with an average income of 35-40 million VND/ha. In which, the greenhouse area reaches more than 1,100ha.
At this stage, the majority of greenhouses are made of V3, V4 bamboo and iron frames and 1-2 layers of nylon film, mainly used for rain protection, without specific greenhouse design specifications, mainly for greenhouse gas production. spontaneous development.
Then, in the period 2011-2015, the total greenhouse area in Lam Dong has grown to more than 3,100ha. Productivity and value of high-tech crops and livestock products increased on average by over 30%, helping to increase profits for producers by over 40% compared to revenue. The proportion of exported agricultural products accounts for 80% of the province’s total export turnover.
However, in this period, there were a number of enterprises that imported greenhouse materials from advanced countries such as Taiwan, Japan, the Netherlands, etc., and assembled them for enterprises specializing in the production of high-grade flowers and gardens. incubate. Up to now, Lam Dong province has more than 4,300 ha of greenhouses (an increase of more than 1,100 ha compared to 2015).
Lam Dong Department of Agriculture and Rural Development also coordinated with relevant units to investigate, survey and identify four common types of greenhouses used in high-tech agricultural production. In which, 2 types of high-grade greenhouses are 1A and 1B. The structure of the greenhouse has a butterfly roof, an open dome on one side with an aperture of 9.6-12.8m, a gutter height of 5m. 200 micron thick 5-layer polyethylene roofing membrane with anti-dust, anti-fog, anti-virus, anti-UV properties.
Two types of mid-level greenhouses, 2A and 2B, have an open dome greenhouse structure on one side with an aperture of 8-9.6m. The house is made according to the design and construction standards of agricultural greenhouses of other countries and the design standards of the load in accordance with the conditions in Vietnam.
In addition, 3 types of low-grade greenhouses 3A, 3B, 3C have greenhouse structures 3A closed dome, 3B open dome, 3C roof A-shaped with an aperture of 5.2-6m. This type of greenhouse is used by 93% of surveyed households. Meanwhile, the average greenhouse gas used accounts for only 6%, the remaining high-grade greenhouses account for only 1%, mainly concentrated on farms with large investment capital.
Solutions to bring greenhouses to the inner city
Through a survey by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Lam Dong province, in Ward 12, Da Lat City, the ratio of greenhouse area/cultivation area accounts for 83.7%. Meanwhile, wards 5, 7 and 8 are over 60%. Some wards in the inner city of Da Lat such as ward 6, ward 3, ward 4, due to high land prices in the past 3 years, many greenhouse areas have been converted to construction land, not using greenhouses. . In Ward 6, there are only 9.4 hectares left and Ward 3 has 23.4 hectares of greenhouses.
Also according to this Department, in order for the project to be implemented on schedule and with high results, the authorities need to mobilize and guide people to build new greenhouses that meet technical standards and obtain permission to build houses. glass through the registration of land changes.
Renovating and embellishing greenhouses to meet technical standards, planting trees on plots and plots to reduce greenhouse effect.
In addition, converting production in greenhouses to outdoor farming, developing modern greenhouses to effectively promote high-tech equipment, IoT technology combined with the use of advanced farming processes to improve productivity, quality and value of products, contributing to environmental protection.
In addition, in terms of urban planning and embellishment solutions, it is necessary to issue temporary regulations on greenhouse technical standards, greenhouse construction density, greenhouse management regulations in the province to manage greenhouse gas emissions. building greenhouses in Lam Dong province, suitable to the landscape and actual conditions of each region.
Strengthen the management of agricultural production areas according to the approved general planning and land use plan. It is necessary to ensure the objectives, scope and purpose of agricultural land use according to the approved planning, not to develop more greenhouses in urban areas.
“Lam Dong province needs to plan agricultural land in urban areas to serve clean agricultural production and advanced agriculture without using greenhouses, reduce the proportion of agricultural land in urban areas, and increase the rate of agricultural production in urban areas. Land ratio for urban construction Localities take the initiative in formulating plans for concentrated greenhouse development outside urban areas (urban peri-urban areas, specialized agricultural areas) in association with the general planning and approved land use plans. approve.
It is recommended to remove the plastic film surrounding the greenhouse and change the cultivation method on this arable land with outdoor or semi-greenhouse cultivation (after a few seasons, the greenhouse ceiling is removed for open farming or greenhouse construction with automatic control roof).
Especially, in places with high density of greenhouses, the greenhouse area affects the environmental landscape. Plants are selected for conversion to ensure high productivity, economic efficiency and meet the requirements of the market, prioritizing the selection of varieties suitable for actual production”, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development specified solutions. for the effective implementation of the project.
Simultaneously, the mortgage lending of greenhouses, which are assets attached to the land, for greenhouses built in compliance with regulations and technical standards and licensed by the competent authority for construction is the solution to the problem. Books are also very interested by people and businesses.
