The Moscow regional State Expertise has issued a positive conclusion for the construction of a greenhouse complex for year-round vegetable cultivation in the village of Astapovo of the Lukhovitsky district of the Moscow region.
Cucumbers were first cultivated in Russia, presumably about 500 years ago. The title of cucumber capital has long been held by Lukhovitsy near Moscow due to the high yield and special taste properties of local varieties. In 2006, a two-meter bronze monument to the famous vegetable was opened in Lukhovitsy with the inscription: “Cucumber-breadwinner from grateful Lukhovichi”.
In the village of Astapovo of the Lukhovitsy urban district, the creation of a greenhouse complex for growing Lukhovitsy vegetables continues. Its capacities are being introduced in stages, starting from 2015. The project, which was considered by Mosoblexpertiza, includes the construction of another modern modular space for year-round production of vegetables in the closed ground. The greenhouse complex will also be equipped with the necessary engineering systems, including a climate control system.*
The developer is LLC “Lukhovitsky vegetables”. The technical customer is Agrostroy LLC. The project documentation was prepared by the PHYTO Research and Production Company.
