In the period from October 17 to 25, 2022, employees of the Plant Quarantine and Grain Quality Supervision Department of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Amur Region and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) conducted a survey of a unique greenhouse farm as part of the annual monitoring of the quarantine phytosanitary condition of the territory of Yakutia.

To establish the quarantine phytosanitary condition of the complex, all 16 greenhouses with a total area of 31 thousand square meters were examined. At the same time, several methods were used: visual inspection, shaking method, sampling and detection using pheromone traps.

70 pheromone traps were installed, including Western flower thrips (50 traps) and tomato moth (20 traps).

Samples were taken to detect tomato viruses: tomato fruit brown wrinkling virus, pepino mosaic virus, tomato spotted wilt virus. All samples and collected pheromone traps were sent to the Irkutsk MVL FSBI for research.

According to the results of the studies, the mentioned viruses and pests were not detected. On this basis, the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Amur Region and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) compiled and issued a monitoring report to the management of the enterprise confirming the safe phytosanitary condition of the facility.

The year-round greenhouse complex is a unique facility for the republic, built in permafrost conditions and providing vegetable products not only to the population of the city of Yakutsk, but also to many districts of the republic.

In its greenhouses, a method of growing without soil is used: the nutrition of the plant is obtained from a special aqueous solution surrounding the roots.

Every day the complex sells about 8 tons of cucumbers and tomatoes – its main products. In addition, the complex grows green crops and other vegetables.

More than 400 individual entrepreneurs and legal entities purchase the products of the complex for sale, its fresh vegetables are provided to kindergartens and hospitals in Yakutsk.
