Microgreens, those tiny, nutrient-packed greens that have taken the culinary world by storm, are now set to be cultivated on an industrial scale near Krasnoarmeysk. Spearheaded by the consortium of companies known as “Plastic On Line,” this ambitious project aims to establish microgreen farms covering a four-hectare expanse in the vicinity of Nikulino village. With health-conscious eating on the rise, the move underscores the significance of harnessing the potential of these greens in a more significant way.

Development and Implementation

The designated plot of land has been cordoned off for construction, and the project’s initiators are diligently preparing the required documentation for its realization. Leveraging the “Land for 1 Ruble” government support program, the team led by Marina Bukashkina, a certified nutritionist, envisions capitalizing on the initiative. She firmly believes that human well-being is intricately linked to sound dietary habits.

This endeavor represents a logical progression in the trajectory of producing health-focused food. While the farm’s construction is slated to be a multi-year venture, the immediate plan involves commencing the production of invigorating smoothies at an existing facility under the Plastic On Line umbrella. The raw materials for these beverages will be sourced from trusted suppliers. Presently, seven unique smoothie formulations have received the green light.

“Building these farms is a long-term commitment spanning a couple of years. However, in the near future, we will initiate the production of revitalizing smoothies at one of Plastic On Line’s operational sites. We are sourcing ingredients from reliable producers,” explains Marina Bukashkina.

Microgreen-Powered Nutrition

The forthcoming product will encompass an impressive array of 14 ingredients, including vegetables, fruits, roots, seeds, spices, and, notably, microgreens. To retain their nutritional benefits, the team is embracing thermal cups. Manufacturing is already underway within the company’s facilities, and sales have commenced on popular marketplaces. In just a month, enthusiasts will be able to place orders for these health-infused smoothies from Krasnoarmeysk.

Government Support and Entrepreneurship

Andrey Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow Region, previously highlighted the region’s proactive approach to fostering new entrepreneurial ventures. “Beyond providing free land, we actively facilitate the launch of fresh projects. I encourage leaders and industry experts to collaboratively identify such projects.”

Conclusion: A Healthier Future

The industrial cultivation of microgreens in Krasnoarmeysk represents a significant stride towards a healthier future. By tapping into the potential of these small but nutritionally mighty greens, the project aligns with the rising demand for wholesome, sustainably sourced produce. As these farms take root, they have the potential not only to enrich diets but also to nurture entrepreneurship and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
