According to the head of the National Association of Greenhouse Builders, more than 90% of the greenhouse products produced in Iran are exported.
“Our main export destinations are Qatar, Oman, the UAE, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and other member states of the Eurasian Economic Union,” Abdolrahman Hosseinifard was quoted as saying by the Mehr news agency.
According to the official, there are about 23,000 hectares of greenhouses in all 31 provinces of Iran.
“A few years ago, only a few products were grown in our greenhouses, such as cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers and some ornamental plants. But now we grow different types of vegetables, flowers, trees and plants, fruits, seedlings and seedlings, seeds, medicinal plants and even feed,” he said.
