Novosibirsk engineers have developed innovative greenhouses for year-round growing vegetables. The accumulated heat from sunlight helps to maintain the desired climate inside.
“The know-how of our system lies in the fact that we have learned to collect the heat that is formed in excess in the greenhouse, accumulate it, and then heat the room at night, when there is not enough sunlight,” Sergey, head of Efficient Greenhouses LLC, told Gorsite Soshnin.
According to him, when using this technology, heating costs are reduced, which means that the final cost of grown products will decrease. Moreover, if, for example, a greenhouse is placed on the roof of a house, then part of the solar energy received can be used to heat the building.
This technology uses a set of equipment. The heat that is collected in the upper part of the greenhouse is pumped into special accumulators during the day with the help of pumps. And at night, when the temperature drops and there is a need for air heating, the system turns on the reverse. Thus, the heat is pumped back into the building, but from the batteries.
“Normal boiler equipment in a greenhouse will typically run 8-9 months a year. This will consume fuel. With the help of our heat accumulator and our installation, the period of use of the boiler house is reduced to 4-5 months,” notes Sergey Soshin.
The development will be available at the XVI Siberian Venture Fair, which will open on August 23 at the Expocentre. The company sets itself the task of entering interregional markets.
