Indoor vegetable growing is actively developing in the republic — the area of greenhouses in the republic is about 700 hectares. Greenhouses are concentrated mainly in the Karabudakhkent, Kayakent, Derbent and Kizilyurt districts, as well as in the vicinity of the city of Makhachkala.
The project of a greenhouse equipped with high-tech equipment is being implemented by Yugagroholding LLC in Shamkhal Termen. The first stage of the greenhouse complex with an area of 5.5 hectares was launched in 2017, now the second stage with an area of 6.6 hectares is being completed.
The First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the RD Sharip Sharipov and Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the People’s Assembly of the RD for Industry, Housing, Transport and Road Management Sagid Sagidov got acquainted with the progress of construction. Accompanied by the Deputy of the National Assembly of the RD Abdurakhman Kamilov, the initiator of this investment project, they studied the progress of its implementation, discussed problems and ways to solve them.
As Sharip Sharipov noted, Yugagroholding is the flagship of the republic in the field of protected soil vegetable growing, the project has made a significant contribution to the task of technical and technological modernization of the agro-industrial complex of Dagestan. The experience of Yugagroholding is interesting not only to representatives of greenhouses in Dagestan. Just a few days ago, a forum was held in Kaspiysk with the participation of representatives of the greenhouse business of Russia, who also took the opportunity to get acquainted with this investment project: “Import substitution in the field of greenhouse vegetable growing is still relevant in the Russian Federation today. At the site of Yugagroholding LLC, a center for the development of vegetable growing of protected soil has practically been formed. We see that the arrangement of educational laboratories is being completed here, where scientific and practical seminars will be held, to learn from experience, to delve into new technologies. There are no analogues of the technological system used here in other greenhouse complexes in the region. The introduction of modern technologies demonstrated by Yugagroholding gives impetus to the arrival of technologies and the launch of similar projects in other regions of Dagestan,” Sharip Sharipov said.
In addition, the Parliament of the Republic is working on the development of legislative initiatives that increase the investment attractiveness of supporting investors investing in such productions. The project of the greenhouse complex is relevant in the scale of development of the agricultural sector of the republic.
